Swim-a-thon 2026
Tuesday, June 16 • AM & PM practices
Parents, please plan to attend to count laps for your swimmer.
Guppies will have their normal practice (they do not participate in SAT.)
Pledge forms and money are due by Tue, June 23.
Swim-a-thon is our annual fundraiser where our swimmers raise money by swimming laps. Swimmers will help raise funds for the team as they complete laps for pledged donations during a 45 minute practice session. (Checks should be made out to Heritage Lakes Swim Team.)
Swim-a-thon Participation Instructions
- Only one practice session will count for total laps swum. Swimmers may participate in AM and PM sessions to try and get more laps. The best session counts.
- Swimmers should bring a water bottle to leave on the pool edge as their lap count total will end if they get out of the water for a drink.
- Swimmers must remain in the water during the event. When the swimmer leaves the water, their lap total is complete. This includes bathroom breaks, so plan ahead!
- A lap is considered one length of the pool (25 yards).
- Swimmers may rest at either end of the pool or on the lane lines. However, any laps in which the swimmer walks on the bottom or uses the lane lines to pull themselves forward will not count towards their total.
- Parents will count laps for their swimmers.
