Head Coach
Savannah Kelly
Hello Heritage Lakes swim family! My name is Savannah Kelly. Last year, assistant coaching the Blue Wave Swim Team, was such an incredible experience and I am super excited for the opportunity to be the head coach this summer. I am 20 years old, and I am the second youngest of four kids. Since I live in the neighborhood, I was able to start swimming for HL when I was just 5 years old. After 12 years on the team and many laps later, I graduated in 2024 as a senior swimmer. I love kids and enjoyed coaching the guppy team for 2 years when I was in high school. I am currently completing my sophomore year at Columbia International University, where I am majoring in early childhood education. One of the first things people notice about me is my height. A great benefit of being a 6’2” female is that I get to play volleyball for the CIU Rams as an outside, middle, and right-side hitter! In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, spontaneous day trips, hiking, running, lake days, thrifting, babysitting, and playing sports. I am super competitive and so excited to start my second season of coaching with the Blue Wave swimmers!
Lead Technical Coach
Grace Howitt
I’m so excited to be stepping into my new role as Lead Technical Coach for the Heritage Lakes Blue Wave! Swimming has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and getting to coach in a sport that’s given me so much is incredibly special to me.
I’m currently a Psychology major at the University of South Carolina with a minor in Coaching, which means I love focusing on both the technical side of swimming and the mental side of being an athlete. From building strong stroke fundamentals to boosting confidence and motivation, my goal is to help swimmers feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress.
I believe the best teams are built on encouragement, hard work, and having fun along the way. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to bring energy to the pool deck, celebrate every win (big or small), and help our swimmers grow all season long. Let’s go Blue Wave!
